Is yahoo similar to DMOZ?

Yahoo uses the same directory structure as DMOZ. If we try to get a site listed in its directory, we have to submit it to an edior. Does Yahoo have paid editors or volunteers? It's kinda hard to use paid editors for indexing the worldwide web. I seriously doubt that Yahoo has an editor for each sub-division of its directory. www.Artis.ro - a Romanian cultural project following the www trend.

DMOZ is synonym with "ODP", or Open Directory Project. It's a large online catalogue that aims to bring together all the sites on the Internet. So DMOZ = ODP, Open Directory Project. www.Artis.ro - a Romanian cultural project following the www trend.

In the context of this forum DMOZ is equivalent to Open Directory Project. However, in another context, in which you may have seen it, DMOZ refers to Directory Mozilla.
